Dr. Harmeet Singh (Neurologist)
Dr. Harmeet Singh is a neurologist, practicing and living in Northern Virginia since 2000. Dr. Singh completed his neurology residency and fellowship training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
While in practice Dr. Singh has seen that one of the most difficult times in a persons life is when they start to loose their independence and eventually have to leave the home where they have lived for years. Even minor changes in a persons life can lead to this loss of independence and the ability to safely live at home. Risk of falls, memory difficulties, difficulty cooking, eating, cleaning, paying bills, transportation/driving and the ability to maintain good hygiene can all effect your ability to live independently.
Decision to start home health care
With this background, Dr. Harmeet Singh, felt he needed to do something to help individuals in similar circumstances in the community. Therefore he joined the national franchise, Acti-Kare Responsive in-home healthcare. With this partnership he can help individuals maintain their independence and stay at home as long as possible. Individuals can receive help with cooking, feeding, cleaning, transportation, bathing, personal hygiene, remembering to take medication, paying bills and much more. These services can be used by individuals getting older and requiring some assistance. They can also be used by any one post-surgery, recovering from injury, during pregnancy and by new mothers. Services are even provided for the pets.
