Dr. Harmeet Singh (Neurologist)

Dr. Harmeet Singh is a neurologist, practicing and living in Northern Virginia since 2000. Dr. Singh completed his neurology residency and fellowship training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

While in practice Dr. Singh has seen that one of the most difficult times in a persons life is when they start to loose their independence and eventually have to leave the home where they have lived for years. Even minor changes in a persons life can lead to this loss of independence and the ability to safely live at home. Risk of falls, memory difficulties, difficulty cooking, eating, cleaning, paying bills, transportation/driving and the ability to maintain good hygiene can all effect your ability to live independently.

Monei Singh

Mrs. Singh initially started working in a pharmaceutical lab. testing the potency of drugs before she started working with Dr. Singh in the office. She has raised three great kids. As her father got older and his health deteriorated, he started to require more assistance with his daily activities. He did not want to go to an assisted living or nursing home facility. He was taken care of at home by Mrs. Singh and her mother for almost four years, before he passed away. He was able to spend his last years at home with the family. Following this she took care of her mother during multiple surgeries.

Decision to start home health care

With this background, Dr. Harmeet Singh and Mrs. Monei Singh, felt they needed to do something to help individuals in similar circumstances in the community. Therefore they joined the national franchise, Acti-Kare Responsive in-home healthcare. With this partnership they can help individuals maintain their independence and stay at home as long as possible. Individuals can receive help with cooking, feeding, cleaning, transportation, bathing, personal hygiene, remembering to take medication, paying bills and much more. These services can be used by individuals getting older and requiring some assistance. They can also be used by any one post-surgery, recovering from injury, during pregnancy and by new mothers. Services are even provided for the pets.
